Newmarket hosted table-toppers Wisbech on Saturday at Nowton Park.  It was a high-energy game with two well matched sides battling for the upper hand.  Neither side seemed to dominate and a slip-up on either side could have resulted in a goal.  Defences, however, remained strong and half-time approached with the score sheet still empty. 

Half-time was called early after an accident left a Wisbech player hurt.  She was unable to continue playing and wanted to return to Wisbech with her team.  Sportingly, Newmarket turned down the offered concession of 3 points and the match will be re-scheduled for December.

Newmarket are away at Sawtry next Saturday.
