Louis Hrebeniak

Hrebeniak joined Newmarket at the tender age of 7 and has worked his way up through the youth ranks, playing in every Town youth team and participating in three Suffolk Youth Games - captaining the Forest Heath hockey team at the last. Making his senior debut at the age of 14, Hrebeniak went on to stake his claim to a regular place in the 2nd Team before making his 1st Team bow as a result of an injury to Dave Worrall at the age of 15. Since then he has become a 1st Team regular and made the left back position his own, regularly starting there in both the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons and winning 1st Team Young Player of the Season in the former. His first goals for the 1s came in the 2016 Suffolk Cup when he tapped in a late winner versus rivals Lowestoft Railway and deflected home a superb diving equaliser against Sudbury.
