Adi joined the team at the start of the 93-94 season and I had the
pleasure of playing with him for two seasons. Throughout these years he
dazzled not only me but team mates and opposition alike with his wonderful
stick-work. He also introduced a new technique of how to stop and roll the
ball in for short corners in one swift movement; it must have been good as
our scoring increased by half a dozen goals from the 92-93 season.
Playing right wing, he often found himself in scoring opportunities
notching up 6 goals in his first season and 9 in his second, and if he
didn't score the goal, then he certainly had a hand in it. From the
95-96, we went our separate ways, I went to Nomads while Adi went onto
star in what became a very successful Ely team. We also met each other
while playing for county, while I played for Cambridgeshire, Adi was the
highlight in the Suffolk team.
