A graduate of the NHC junior setup, young left back Frost came straight into the newly formed 3rd team and impressed straight away, earning him opportunities in the 2nd XI and ultimately the 1st team at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Hrebeniak joined Newmarket at age seven and has worked his way up through the youth ranks, playing in every team and captaining Forest Heath at the Suffolk Youth Games. Now an established 1st Team player, he has a single Young Player of the Season award to his name and scored his first senior goal in a 1-0 win over Lowestoft Railway in the 2016 Suffolk Cup.
Newmarket’s rock at the back, the ever-present Newnes is a one club man – the self-confessed Steven Gerrard of NHC. Luckily for Town, he doesn’t slip over half as much and is an integral part of the Class of ’04.
Darren ‘Dazzler’ Jenkins is a 1st Team stalwart. He claimed the right back spot as his own during the 2016 season and has gone on to prove himself invaluable to the Newmarket back line. He loves to repel attacks before rampaging up the flank himself in search of a strike on goal.
Club legend Wilson is a born leader and loves to dictate play from the back. An attacking left back by trade, he is just as comfortable in the heart of defence or in midfield. His trademark well-struck short corners are a nightmare for any goalkeeper unlucky enough to face them.
