Ladies 1st XI

Cambs City 5s succeeded where no other team this season has yet. They put us a goal down in the first half but our day at the hockey office got back on track and by half-time we were 2-1 up. City defended heartily and attacked fast but Newmarket remained the stronger, more coherent team and by full-time had scored 5, Maisy Swann 1, Lucie Swann 2, Di Farrell-Thomas 1 and Faye Andreou 1.

This week we travel to Wisbech 2 with a relatively late 3.30push back causing some availability issues.

Ladies 3rd XI

The Ladies 3s up and down season took another upward turn this week, with a 4v1 victory promotion over high flying March 1s . With a strong contingent of U18s and debutants and with additional coaching support provided by Faye Andreou and Zoe Bailey from the sidelines. Lydia Evans was the player around which the performance was made, as she scored the first and third goals and set up the second for Leah Palmer, but this was very much a hard-working team performance.  The second half was a little more evenly matched with March pulling a goal back before Murron McCulloch forced home the 4th goal from close range. Leia Schultz on debut impressed all and was rewarded with player of the match.

Team: Amy Bradford (GK), Vicky Benedikz (c), Sandra Copping, Ellie Chapman, Jo Graham-Thompson, Lydia Evans, Leia Schultz, Isla McCulloch, Murron McCulloch, Robyn Kennedy, Leah Palmer and Natalie Rice.
